STALLIONS
			Each year, about 250 mares arrive to be covered by the stud's stallions.
						Stallions cover two or three mares a day. Two stallion handlers assisted by the stud groom ensure mares are covered in complete safety in a specially designed unit (ultrasound scan and mare preparation box, and service arena). Mares often come just for service, but they can also be boarded for the full heat period or for the whole of the covering season. See health protocol required.
